Dubbo National Show & Sale 2011

The Bank French Maid F2 (P) (AI), was exhibited at the National Show and Sale in Dubbo in June earlier this year. Congratulations to Melissa Storton of Meljays Shorthorns for the purchase of this fine young heifer for $3,300.

New sire - Yamburgan Poseidon E11

We are delighted to welcome the exciting new addition of Yamburgan Poseidon E11 to our AI sire program for the upcoming 2010/2011 joinings. Poseidon E11 claimed the Junior Champion and Grand Champion shorthorn bull titles at the Brisbane Royal Exhibition this year under the watchful eye of judge, Mr. Andy Withers (Belmore Shorthorns, Narracoorte SA). Weighing an impressive 800kg at 19 months on age with an EMA of 118 cm, he blew the competion away.

2010 Dubbo National Show & Sale Success

The Bank made its debut at the 2010 Dubbo National Show & Sale in Dubbo NSW. Although unplaced in his extremely competitive class of 13 promising young sires, The Bank Donkey Kong D4 (P), had impressive scan data. Weighing 855 kilograms at 24 months of age, he expressed an EMA scan of 127cm and 10/9mm of rib and rump fat. Congratulations to the Johnstone family of Ronelle Park Shorthorns/Trojon Shorthorns for the purchase of their new sire for $2,750.

Principle named Assosicate Judge - Naracoorte Bull Sale 2010

Stud principle Ashlee, was the assosicate judge to Mr Steve Withers, Springwood Station Shorthorns, at the Naracoorte Bull Sale in South Australia, on 4th March 2010.
51 bulls were offered with 47 sold. A sale record average of $5,273 was achieved with a top price of $13,000. Congratulations to all exhibitors and broad ribbon winners, including the Grand Champion and top priced bull; Ingleton Done Well D15 Jake Taylor, Comet Shorthorns, purchased by Marrington Shorthorns.

2009 Durham Research Program AI Success

In 2008, The Bank was fortunate to obtain a fantastic genetic opportunity offered to young breeders by the Durham Research Program. In doing so, we were able to access semen that otherwise would not have been possible to help expand our gene pool.
 
The 2009 calf drop was extremely successful. The Durham Research Program sires that were used in the 2009 drop include:

The Bank Takes Double on Debut

In May 2009, the stud exhibited a junior show team at the Beef Australia Expo in Rockhampton, with exceptional results on debut. The Bank Denise D3 (P) (AI) and The Bank Duke of Hazzard D2 (P), claimed the Champion calf Female and Reserve Champion Calf Male titles. Principle named Beef 2009 Rabobank Ambassador Finalist

In march 2009, stud principle Ashlee Oldfield, was named as one of five Rockhampton Beef 2009 Rabobank Young Ambassador 2009 Finalists. In October 2008, two outstanding female lots were purchased.
Lot42 - Belmore Bewitched A82, a red Belmore Hoo Doo X257 daughter, with roan heifer calf (D65) at foot by Belmore Kaluga A342.
Lot76 - Bayview Flossie B65, a red Royalla Exterminator heifer.

Belmore Female Spectacular 2008

In October 2008, Lot6, a clear sale stand out was purchased for the sale top price, $2,100.
Lot6 - Belmore Flair Z53, a red Exmoor Aristotle V6 daughter, PTIC to Bundaleer Yankee Cruiser Y2, with a red heifer calf (D107) at foot by Belmore Jackaroo Z109.
